He worked in the communication industry for many years and was a disc jockey in Oregon and Washington for many years.
He attended Davis High School and graduated with a communications degree from Southern Utah State University.
He is survived by his stepmother, Beverly Winger of Modesto; brother, Elmer Lee Winger of St. George, Utah; and sisters, Elizabeth Hill of Sacramento and Ann Falk of Turlock.
