Memorial service for Lee Roy Cook, 59 year-old Weatherford, OK resident, was held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Nazarene Church with Jeff Sykes officiating.

Lee was born on September 12, 1955 in Los Angeles, California to Leonard and Joyce (Duncan) Cook and passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014 east of Weatherford, Oklahoma in his mother’s home, surrounded by family & loved ones. Lee was raised in Garden Grove, California and Mesa, Arizona. In 1973 he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in England and South Carolina. He moved to the Weatherford area in 1981 and began working in the oil field and later as a boat mechanic in Kingston, Oklahoma. In 1988 he moved to Ardmore and worked for Browns Trucking as a mechanic. He returned to Weatherford in 1993 and worked as a mechanic in the oil field. He moved to Elk City in 2004 and returned to Weatherford in 2009. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Cook of Weatherford, OK; two daughters, Brittany Cook of Tulsa, OK and Sarah Cook of Weatherford, OK; two sisters Lynnette Wakefield and husband Robert of Florence, Arizona and Linda Bushong and husband David of Weatherford, OK. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Cook.
