Graveside services were held in the Dennis Cemetery Tuesday afternoon for Edwin S. Whittemore, 88, of Hyannis, who died in Centerville on Saturday. The Rev. John D. Erb officiated. Mr. Whittemore was a native of Dennis and was a cranberry grower here. About 21 years ago he moved to Hyannis where he was a building contractor. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mildred (Lord) Whittemore; two sons, Edwin S. Whittemore Jr. and Robert L., both of Hyannis, a daughter, Mrs. Leslie Sherwood of El Cajon, California, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
