Catherine Ann Morois, 92, of Marinette, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Rennes Health Center-East in Peshtigo. She was born June 30, 1922 in Klondike, Wis. to Ernest and Nora (Brazeau) Monigal.

At age 3, Kate moved to Marinette with her family, residing here since. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School. She briefly worked at the former Scott Paper Co. before her marriage to Joe Morois on April 27, 1946. Together they raised their family with lifelong love and encouragement. She also was employed outside the home, working at the Marinette Medical Clinic, Marinette General Hospital and Warner Cable. Kate found enjoyment in handwork, crocheting and knitting, as well as golfing and playing bridge. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Holy Family Altar Society and the former St. Joseph Altar Society and Little River Country Club.

Kate is survived by three children: Carol (Mike) Skotzke of Madison, WI; Peggy (John) Peterson of Marquette, Mich. and Tom (Sue) Morois of Marinette, WI;
seven grandchildren: Amy (Lenin) Hernandez of Madison, Andrew (Connie) Trabbold of Los Angeles, Calif., Jeffrey (Mandie) Haile of Marquette, Mich., Matthew (Karen) Haile of Indianapolis, Ind., Jeremiah (Ashley) Haile of Menominee, Eric Morois of Marinette and Katie Morois of Rhinelander;
six great-grandchildren: Matthew Haile, Francesca Hernandez, Natalie, Whitney and Ryan Haile, and Lily Rose Haile;
and one sister, Teresa Ball of California.
Kate is also survived by her extended family: Lenin Andres Hernandez and Austin and Jake Peterson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joe in 2010; and by her siblings in the Monigal family: Francis, Harold, Robert, Florence (John) Dolan, Genevieve (Daniel) Schuchart and Eva Monigal.

A family Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, November 14, 2014, in Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church by Father Celestine Byekwaso.
Interment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum
