James Evans "Chuckie" Bandy Jr., 59, of Roanoke, Va., departed this life on on Sunday, November 9, 2014. He was born in Beckley, W.Va., to the late James E. Bandy Sr. and Josephine Bandy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Ellis and Ella Mae Bandy; siblings, Jimmie (Tony) Shannon and Diane Bandy. James is survived by his wife, Trina M. Bandy; children, Marc Bandy, Kesha (Tariq) Rashed and James Bandy III; siblings, Linda Knox, Sonya Mitchell, Angela (William) Nichols, Lamont (Catherine) Mitchell and Raymond (Carla) Mitchell; grandchildren, James Bandy IV, Aries Rashed, Keely Bandy, Jayla Bandy and Carsyn Yates; special aunt, Dortha Rene Dennis; cousin,Herbert Bishop ;sister-in-law, Deirdre Perry; brother-in-law, Raymond G. Perry Jr.; special friends, Ronald Parker and Bobby Coltraine; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014, in the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Whitfield officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Williams Memorial Park.
