Charles William Vinson, 87, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at his residence. He was born April 27, 1925, in Echols, Ky., to the late Charlie Lee and Chloe Mable Brown Vinson. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, retired insurance agent for State Farm and a member of Boaz Masonic Lodge #850 F&AM.

Survivors include his wife Linda Aubrey Vinson of Louisville; one son, Brent Vinson; one daughter, Linda Kay Gladdis and one sister, Kathleen Lile, of Greenville, Ky.

Graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Echols Cemetery in Echols, Ky.

William L. Danks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
