Dwight Richard Harris

Dwight Richard Harris of Galveston, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 14, 2013.

He was born on September 24, 1966 in Galveston, Texas to Leon Moore Sr., and the late Lula B. Reid. Dwight fought a courageous battle against diabetes, and his strength will always be admired and remembered. Dwight loved fishing.

Dwight is survived by his father, Leon Moore Sr.; aunt, Carrie Ward; his children: Delisha Harris, Denisha Harris, De’Andre Harris, Devian Harris, Dwight “Tank” Harris, and Jordan Harris; siblings, Felicia Moore, Howard “Phatts” Reid, Jauron Reid, Keisha Moore, Leon “Mo” Moore, and Rafaela Glenn. He also leaves behind one aunt of Galveston, three aunts of Houston, two uncles of Galveston, and a host of close friends.

Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on October 26, 2013 from 9 to 10:55 a.m. at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church located at 6414 FM 1765 in La Marque, Texas. The home going celebration will be held immediately after, at 11 a.m.

Burial will be at Mainland Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas. The Rev. Durst will officiate.
