ALGOA—Mrs. passed from this life Friday afternoon, November 7, 2014, in Houston.
Born March 2, 1938 in Dallas, TX, Mrs. Moore had lived over 45 years in Algoa. Jane spent her life creating a loving home for her family and friends. She attended Dickinson Church of Christ, loved bowling and bowled on several leagues in Alvin and Pearland, enjoyed traveling, camping, going to the beach, snow skiing, riding roller coasters and riding in her boat. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and was known as “Nanny” to everyone that entered her home.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Harvey and Myrtle Judene (English) Surber; 3 brothers; 4 sisters and daughter, Karen Elaine Moore.
Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Boyd Moore; sons, Doug Moore and wife, Karen of Bayou Vista, Robert Moore and wife, Judy of Tolar, Darryl Moore and wife, Andrea of Algoa; daughter, Cynthia Rice and husband, Chuck of Santa Fe; extended children, Charles and Johnny Surber both of Santa Fe, Liz Oquin of Mesquite, Marty Selman of Hugo, OK, Walter Selman of Dallas; grandchildren, Stephen and Kevin Moore, Michelle Rice-Cherryhomes, Chuck Rice, Randal Moore, Courtney Dorsey, Hannah and Nathan Moore, Karen Battistoni, Amanda Moore, Kristina Hoffpauir, Sgt. Steven Burrell, Michael Moore, Casey and Gary Bertling; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, Mr. Tom Gast officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Moore, Michael Moore, Nathan Moore, Randal Moore, Stephen Moore and Chuck Rice.
