Newspaper Obituary - January 20, 1921 Sandy Creek News - Mrs. Charles H. Bennett - The sad news of the sudden death of Charlotte L. Bolton, wife of Charles H. Bennett came over the wire Saturday. Death came at the Syracuse Memorial hospital where she went for an operation ten days previously. She suffered from cancer in the throat which developed in a sore throat three months ago. That morning Mr. Bennett left for Syracuse expecting that Mrs. Bennett would return home with him but she had become unconscious during the night and died shortly after he reached her side. Mrs. Bennett was born in Altmar where she was married. She was a member of the Altmar Episcopal church. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett had been married thirty years and besides her husband, a son, Pearl E. Bennett of Pittsburgh, Pa and a daughter, Mrs. Eva Havens of Sandy Creek, survive. The funeral was held from the Congregational church, Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. T. T. Davies officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family has the sympathy of their many friends in this hour of sudden bereavement.
