Newspaper Obituary - December 3, 1936 Sandy Creek News - Harold John Beeman - Harold John Beeman, 51, died Monday evening, November 30, 1936 at his home in South Main Street, Sandy Creek, after a long illness of about three years. Mr. Beeman formerly lived at Carthage, but had resided here for the past several years. He was born in Altmar in February, 1885, the son of James Beeman and Annie Sloper Beeman, his father having been one of the early Sandy Creek settlers. Harold J. Beeman was married to Miss Ethel Crandall, daughter of B. A. Crandall of Sandy Creek. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Beeman of Sandy Creek and by one son, Walter Beeman, also of this village; by his mother, Mrs. Annie Beeman, 84, who lives at Oneida Castle; by one sister, Mrs. Belle St. Marie, who is preceptress at the Oneida school; by one brother, Charles Beeman of Watertown, and by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Beeman was one of six children, of whom Nathan and David Beeman, died some years ago, while a sister, Mary Ellen died in infancy. Mr. Beeman was a member of the Watertown order of Redmen. Funeral services will be held at the home at 2 this afternoon, with Rev. T. T. Davies officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
