Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 3, 1921 - Ora Willis Beebe - Last Thursday morning at 6:45 in Memorial hospital in Syracuse occurred the death of Ora Willis Beebe, who up to ten years ago, had always been a resident of the town of Sandy Creek, where he was born 37 years ago, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos E. Beebe. For the past decade he had been with American Woolen Mills at Fulton, first in the shipping department whence when his aptness at figures was noted he was transferred to the office. Here he has steadily advanced till for the last two years he was assistant paymaster. He is survived by his wife, Miss Mabel Wilcox Beebe; two sons, Eugene Hawthorne Beebe, aged 13, and Paul Edward Beebe, aged 6; four brothers, A. Harris, Erwin H. Beebe of Syracuse; Ernest L. of Cincinnati, and Arnold J. Beebe of Syracuse; three sisters, Mrs. Brayton S. Brtch of Oswego and Misses Olive and Edith Beebe of Fulton. He united with the First Methodist Episcopal church of Sandy Creek and later with the First church of Fulton. He was a member of Fulton Lodge No. 144 F * A.M. Fulton Masonic Council No. 50, Fulton Chapter No. 167. R.A.M. Fulton Masonic Club, of which he was president, and of the Fulton Citizens club. Prayer was said at the first M.E. church at 1 o'clock. Saturday afternoon, the pastor Rev. A. R. Lambert, officiating after which the body was taken to Lacona, where services were conducted at 2:30 oclock Sunday afternoon at the home of Postmaster W. W. Wilcox in Railroad street, Rev. T. T. Davies officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek. The bearers in Fulton were his club assoicates in Lacona his brothers, A. Harris Beebe, Erwin H. Beebe, Ernest L. Beebe, W. W. Wilcox and Chas. Wilcox, Ling, Keegan and Osbelt of Syracuse, friends of the family, were the undertakers. Mr. Beebe had been ailing for several weeks from anemia.
