Newspaper Obituary - February 11, 1971 Sandy Creek News - Mac Alexander Dies In Florida - Ontario Bay - Residents here were saddened to received word of the death of Malcolm S. Alexander, 62, of Punta Gorda Hts., Fla. which occured at his home, Feb. 5, 1971. Born July 26, 1908 in Dexter he was the son of Robert and Myrtle Burlingame Alexander. He was a fine carpenter and built several homes in this area as well as in Florida, learning the trade from his father. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Luther (Emma) Ridgeway, Webster; two brothers, William, Punta Gorda, Fla., and Donald Alexander of Ilion. Another brother Hugh was killed while serving in World War II. Services will be held at O'Brien Funeral Home, Sandy Creek this Thursday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ivan Greenfield officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Woodlawn Cemetery.
