Roger Dale Blevins, Jr. of Bear, Delaware, passed away at home at the age of 68 after a lengthy illness on November 9, 2014. He was born on March 31, 1946, and was preceded in death by his parents, Roger D. Blevins, Sr., and E. Virginia Blevins, of Oxford. He is survived by two brothers, John L. Blevins of Kirkwood, and James M. Blevins, of Quarryville, as well as three children, two grandchildren, and four nieces and nephews.

A 1964 graduate of Oxford High School, he also served in the United State Army for two years. He was employed for many years by A.I. D Pont, and was later employed by Loomis Fargo and Medical Transport.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 13th at 9:30 AM, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 209 Washington Street, Delaware City. Interment will be immediately following Mass at 11:00 AM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.
