She was the daugher of William Perry "Will" and Lucy K. (Evatt) Armstrong and married Henry Hollis Fanning - 19 Nov 1902 - Franklin Co., Tennessee. Her obituary follows:

Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Henry Fanning --

Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Fanning, 64, wife of Henry Fanning of the Cross Roads community, who died Thursday night in a local hospital, were held Saturday afternoon from the Cross Roads Baptist Church. The Rev. Lee Lowhorn officiated, and burial was in the Decherd (Mount Garner) Cemetery.

Suriving, in addition to her husband, are five sons, Bobby, Charlie, and Ira Fanning, all of Winchester Springs, Warna and Jim Fanning, both of Harvey, Illinois; four daughters, Mrs. Sam Britton of Alabama, Mrs. Austin Northcutt, Mrs. Oscar Williams, and Mrs. Lee Fanning of Winchester Springs; a sister, Mrs. Bob Brewer of Alabama; 32 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
