Russell E. Strickland, age 57, passed away November 9, 2014 at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Mi. He was born to Howard and Yolanda (Dickerson) Strickland on August 9, 1957. He is survived by his wife Jill of Riverview, Mi.; one son, Jason Strickland and one daughter, Nici Strickland of Michigan; four step-sons and nine grandchildren; four brothers, Mike of S. Rockwood, Mi., Scott of Newport, Mi., David of Wellston, Oh. and Doug of Wellston, Oh.; and three sisters, Tammy Strickland and Diane Evoe of Wellston and Missy of Villa Rico, Ca. He was preceded in death by his mother, Yolonda Grace (Dickerson) Strickland and a nephew, Dwayne C. Evoe. He was a 1975 graduate of Airport High School in Carleton, Mi. He was retired from McClough Steele Corp. and U.S. Steel Corp. after 39 years of service. Services were held Wednesday, November 12 at Michigan Memorial in Flat Rock, Mi., officiated by Jim DuFour. Entombment was in Michigan Memorial Park in Huron Township, Michigan.
