Edgar Lee "Lob" Hughes, 84, of Greenville, died Thursday,November 6, 2014 at McCall Hospice House. Born in Dalton, GA, he was a son of the late Homer Lee and Eunice Davis Hughes. He was a Navy veteran, retired from Southern Bell, worked at Furman University in Public Safety, and was a member of Parisview Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Louise Wigington Hughes; daughters: Tonda Hughes Looper, Michelle Hughes; brother: Kelly R. Hughes (Faye); grandchildren: Olena Harbuck (Bryan), Candice Griffin-Harris (Lee); and great-grandchildren: Wesley, Caroline, and Cade. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 until 8:30 pm at The Howze Mortuary.
