So sad.

Accidental Death-
On Thursday of last week, May 18, the eight grade graduating class of the Mound City schools, 22 in number, on their way to Big Lake, met with an accident, in turning a corner when nearing their destination. The truck in which they were riding skidded, throwing Thelma Price and Mary Scott out, the rear wheel crushing the head of Thelma, causing immediate death; the other escaping with a broken arm and other minor bruises.

Mary Thelma Price, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. C. Price, was born in Oregon, Holt county, Mo., July 16, 1907, and died as stated above May 18, 1922, aged 14 years, 10 months, and 2 days. She is the fourth daughter of the six children, Eugene being her only brother. She was second best in her class-a bright, happy, loving and lovable child; popular with her classmates and teacher; a member of the Christian Church for the past five years, and always to be found in her place at all times.

The funeral services were conducted from the Christian church in Mound City, at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, and attended by more than six hundred persons-a silent attest to the esteem for her and her parents and their family. The services were held by the pastor, Rev. Molloy, and interment was had in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
