MRS. ANNIE BOICE SUCCUMBS

Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Boice, 67 years old, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clyde Thomas, 508 Galena avenue, at 3:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Boice had just enjoyed a family dinner at which her daughter from Webb City was present. She was seemingly in good health. After the dinner Mrs. Boice went upstairs where she was taken ill, dying before a physician could be called. Every since Christmas Mrs. Boice has been troubled with heart trouble but for some time now has seemed to be improved and has been able to be about as usual.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roy Thomas of Webb City and Mrs. Clyde Thomas of this city, and one step-son, James H. Boice. Mrs. Boice came to Galena when she was still a young woman and for the last forty-one years has made this her home, her husband, Mr. Boice died over thirteen years ago. She was a faithful member of the Episcopal church.

Funeral services were held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clyde Thomas, at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. H. N. Hyde of the Episcopal church officiated. Burial was made in the Galena cemetery.

The pallbearers were E. B. Schermerhorn, Charles L. Sawyer, Joe Stallsmith, L. J. Haines, A. Royster, John McCullagh, and Wm. Waugh of Baxter. Word was received from Garner Boice, a grandson, who is stationed at Camp Funston, he would be unable to attend the funeral as his company is under quarantine.
