Mr. Bobby Lewis Morrison, Sr., 71, of Cleveland, NC passed away on November 10, 2014 in Huntersville, NC.
Mr. Morrison was born in Wilkes County to the late Luther McKinnley Morrison and Agnus Brewer Morrison on Friday, March 26, 1943. He was married to Elma Jean Barr Morrison for 54 years. Mr. Morrison was employed with Fiber Industries for 28 years.
He loved to watch his grandchildren play sports and to watch rodeos. He loved fishing and travel to the Outer Banks. Mr. Morrison served his country proudly as a veteran of the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Morrison was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish and carry on his memories include: his wife, Elma Jean Morrison; sons, Bobby Morrison, Jr. and wife, Vivian, of Stony Point, Anthony Morrison and wife, Carol, of Lincoln County, Marc Morrison and wife, Monica, of Blanche, NC; Jody Morrison and wife, Pam, of Iredell County and Mickey Morrison and wife, Hollie, of Cleveland; brothers, Luther Morrison Jr., Harold Morrison and Ronnie Morrison, all of Wilkes County; Nolan Morrison of Taylorsville and Thomas Morrison of Concord; sister, Betty Towell of Concord and 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes Chapel, 2109 Moravian Falls Road, Moravian Falls.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 at Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes Chapel. Burial will follow at Scenic Memorial Gardens with full military honors accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard of Post #1142. Pastor Alan Wheeler will officiate.
In addition to flowers, memorials may be given to Redeemed Baptist Church, 1525 Riverview Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
