Mrs. Mary Estella Deal died at her home in Postville, Monday at 7:30 a.m. at the age of 66 years and 7 months. She was born near Detroit, Michigan, April 10, 1858, and married Jacob Deal. Ten children were born to them, one son, Fred, died about 31 years ago. She is survived by four sons, Guy Deal, of Postville; Herbert, of Luana, Ia., Ernest of Rossville, Ia., and Arthur, of La Crosse, Wis., and five daughters, Mrs. Edith Cutler, of Butte, Mont.; Mrs. Maud Waterman, of Detoit, Mich.; Miss Minnie Deal of St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Cora Ames of Postville, Ia.; and Mrs. Else Bandt, of Ossian, Ia. The funeral ceremonies were held at the Postville Presbyterian Community Church, with Rev. Franklin Galoway officiating. The remains were buried in the Postville Cemetery.
