Paducah Sun, Friday, February 15, 1980 - LA CENTER, Ky. - Mrs. Callie Hooker, 101, La Center, died at 11:50 a.m. Thursday at the Life Care Center in La Center.
The oldest member of La Center Baptist Church, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Strickland, La Center, and Mrs. Georgia Butler, Baltimore, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Meriwether, Paducah; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jones Funeral Home. The Rev. Burt Davis will officiate with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
