Mrs. Farley dies at 103
Mrs. Emma Farley, 103, of 117 N. McLean, died Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Jefferson Square Manor. She had been in ill health for six years.
The daughter of Louis and Louisa Miller, she was born in Farley, Iowa on March 21, 1864 and had been a resident of Ottumwa for 63 years. She was a member of First Congregational Church. Her marriage to Charles H. Farley took place Oct. 20, 1889, in Dubuque. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Maze Joslin of Ottumwa; one son, John P. Farley of Ottumwa; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Jay Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Brown, pastor of First Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Shade Cemetery at Marion, Iowa.
