William Old (son of Robert), married Elizabeth Walker, b. 20 November, 1691.
-------------------------------------------
Elizabeth was the daughter of Edward Walker and Elizabeth Dean Walker.

Information provided by: Nancy Eliason Walker (#46774804)

A daughter of Edward Walker and Elizabeth Dean. Had at least seven children born in Charlestown, Middlesex County, (later Suffolk County) Massachusetts.

Edward Walker had located to Brookfield from Charlestown circa 1st July, 1703. "Bought of Henry Taylor, twenty acres, being one-half of Henry Taylor's homestead. Had grants in Brookfield, in all, of four hundred and fifty-six acres." A genealogical register of North Brookfield families; Charles Adams, 1887, page 767.

There should be a gravestone for her brother Joseph Walker in Brookfield Cemetery. Though my last efforts to locate any burial for Joseph Walker, his wife, his daughter Abigail, or his parents, produced no plot.

Joseph Walker is supposed to be married to Susannah Whittaker (1705-1785) of Haverhill, Norfolk County (Essex County by 1732) Massachusetts. Haverhill was raided in 1708. "Village layout consisted of 25-30 houses, as a poorly defended location with a few houses fortified. Exiled Abenaki war chief Escumbuit joined in the raid, who lived near Haverhill. Between thirty and forty persons were killed or taken prisoner in this raid. Sixteen of the slain were inhabitants of Haverhill."

Possibly Whittaker or Walker relative located to Brookfield from Haverhill. Though Brookfield was raided in 1710. "The last mischief which was done by the savages in Brookfield was about the 20th of July, 1710. Six men, viz. Ebenezer Hayard, John White, Stephan and Benjamin Jennings, John Grosvenor, and Joseph Kellog were making hay in the meadows, when the Indians, who had been watching an opportunity to surprize them, sprung suddenly upon them, dispatched five of them, etc.."
