Mary Margaret Lockwood, loving mother, grandmother, and aunt, 90, of Anderson, passed away November 8, 2014 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital Anderson, IN. She was born July 4, 1924 in Madison, County, Indiana and resided all of her life in Anderson.
Mary Margaret graduated from Anderson High School in 1942.
She was a Homemaker. She previously worked for Delco Remy, Roselyn Bakery and the Madison County Health Department.
She was a member of the Whetstone Christian Church.
Mary Margaret is survived by her children, Pamela (Thomas) Kistler of Muncie, IN, Susan Lockwood of Anderson, IN, and Timothy Lockwood of TX, five grandchildren, Sarah Marie (Paul) Neher, Emily Suzanne (Ross May) Kistler, Graham (Maria) Lockwood, Oliver Lockwood and Spencer Lockwood, two great-granddaughters, Brianna and Vanessa Neher, four nieces, Vicki (Don) Watkins, Kathy Free, and Candy (Tom) Butler, Michelle (Nicholas) Perling, and a nephew Michael Lockwood. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Donnie (Murlene) Lockwood, and many very special family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lockwood, father, Freeman Bird, mother, Mollie Bird, and a sister Anna Mae McCormack.
Visitation will be held from 4pm to 7pm Tuesday November 11, 2014 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, Indiana.
Services will be at 11:30 am Wednesday November 12, 2014 at the funeral home, with Pastor Stephen Gettinger officiating.
Burial will take place in the Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendelton.
