Rev. Father Elias Abi-Saab, also known as Rev. Elias Abisab Leos, was born in Masra, Syria, near Mount Lebanon, and was for 20 years the pastor of Santa Teresa de Jesus Catholic Church in Presidio, Texas. He came to North America around 1910, and spent many years ministering between Mexico and Texas. He was also the pastor at Sacred Heart Mission in Shafter, Texas, during the 1920s. Father Elias died at El Paso in 1944, age 70.
