Michael Wayne Edwards-Age 37. A life long resident of Grand Bay, Alabama, died at a local hospital Friday, April 25, 2008 of cardiac arrest. Michael was born on July 25, 1970 in Mobile, Alabama. He was a much loved husband, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He was a man who would do anything in his power to help another person, whether family, friend or stranger. He was known to travel any distance to help out aging family and friends with the maintenance of their homes. We know that the world will be a darker place without his light in it. Michael is survived by his wife, Mrs. Tammy Edwards of Grand Bay, AL; his step son, James Isham, Jr of New York, step son, Christopher Hammac of Mobile; parents C.W and Glenda Edwards of Grand Bay, AL; his sister, Mrs. Stephanie Hunter and her husband Mr. Shane Hunter of Covington, GA; his brother, Cpt. Curtis Edwards and his wife Mrs. Millie Edwards of Highland Falls, NY; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with interment in Serenity Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements by Serenity Funeral Home, 8691 Old Pascagoula Road, Theodore, AL, 36619.
