Sharon Ann Powers, 78 Newburgh passed away at 11:30 pm, Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Charlier Hospice Center at Deaconess VNA Plus.
Sharon was born April 3, 1936 the daughter of the late Arl and Jeannette (Byers) Grimes. She was of the Christian Faith. Sharon started her career as a hair stylist at Henry and Marcels. Then, along with her daughter Lisa, she previously owned First Impressions Hair Design. Sharon was also the founder and owner of Fan and Light World in Evansville. She loved to design and decorate homes and also enjoyed bowling, flower gardening, reading and painting. But above all, Sharon’s greatest love was spending time with her family and her First Impressions family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Kimberlee Powers and brother, Glen Grimes.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Charlier Hospice Center at Deaconess VNA Plus for the care and compassion shown to Sharon and her entire family.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Father Joseph Ziliak and Pastor Scott Westerman officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
Friends may call from 2 pm until 7 pm, Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home.
