Irene K. Burrer, 88, of Marshfield, passed on to God Friday November 7, 2014.
A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 14 with Pastor Kevin Buchanan officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9:30 until service time on Friday.
Irene was born November 25, 1925 in Hosmer, SD to Emil and Martha Aman. She attended school in Aberdeen. Irene married Elmer Burrer whom she loved dearly. He preceded her in death in 2001.
She was a very active member of her church. Irene loved to sew, garden, cook for her family and friends, root for the Packers, Brewers, Badgers, and was fluent in NBA statistics. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildrens’ sporting events. Team buses were well equipped with her chocolate chip cookies.
Irene is survived by her daughters Dr. Debra (Kurt) Schuster of Schofield and Julie (Kirk) Hamman of Corvallis, MT. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Emily Schuster, Andrea Schuster, Valerie Schuster, Dr. Katherine Garrity, Stuart Hamman, Kenton Hamman, and Jacob Hamman. Irene is also survived by her siblings Florence Opp and Milbert Aman. She leaves behind many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer, and her siblings: Raymond Aman, Delores Neuharth, and Lavern Opp.
The family is grateful to the congregation at First Presbyterian Church for their prayers, and are thankfull to the nurses and doctors for their love and care for Irene during her illness.
