Harold was born Dec. 7, 1922, in Calio, Mo., to Val and Stella Gilbert Cook. He married Dorothy Lint on Oct. 9, 1942, in Shellsburg. Harold worked as a mill operator at Penick and Ford for 43 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Penick and Ford Retirement Club and Grain Millers Union Local 100.
