Ellen L. Ward, daughter of Edward and Emma (Gunther) Ward was born February 19, 1914 in Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High School in 1932.
Ellen was united in marriage with Richard Wyman on September 5, 1933. Ellen worked at Manchester's Biscuit Company, John Morrell & Co. and retired from Metz Baking after 25 years of service in 1974. In 1979 Ellen worked for Joe Foss Field in Airport Security for 6 years.
Ellen enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and helping people. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Grateful for having shared her life are her sons, Richard Wyman, Lenore, ID, daughter, Jo Ellen Rolph, Piedmont, SD; six grand children, Richard (Patti) Wyman, Aurora, CO, Michael (Stephie) Wyman, Uma, AZ, Susan (Steve) Effner, Laveta, CO, Matthew (Danette) Rolph, Whitewood, SD, Joshua Rolph, Roy, UT, Julia Rolph, Piedmont, SD; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Ellen was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Larson, and her parents.
