Loretta Frances Statler Williwss,74, of Danville, VA, formerly of Hickory died July 28, 2010, in her home, after a decline in her health for the past four months.

Mrs. Willis was born March 20, 1936, in Monongalia County, WV, a daughter of the late John Greenberry Statler and Edna Florence Roupe Statler.

She had lived in Washington County for 27 years and had been a resident of Danville, VA for the past 26 years.

She was a graduate of Waynesburg High School in 1954.

Mrs. Willis retired from Willis Yamaha Cycle Center in Danville, which she and her husband owned.

She was a member of the Retreads Motorcycle Club, First Presbyterian Church in Danville and was a former member of the Hickory United Presbyterian Church.

On December 29, 1956, she married Rolley L. Willis, who survives.

Also surviving are three brothers, Robert, Kenneth and Richard Statler; four sisters, Mary Walters, Jane Mooney, Katherine Brand and Betty Folkens; a son, Terry Willis and wife Susan; A daughter, Karen (Gary) Runtas; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Todd) Stearns, Scott (Kelly) Willis, and Sarah, Rachel, Nathan, Matthew and Hannah Runtas; and three great grandchildren, Makaylee, Kaleb and Zackary Stearns.

Deceased are two brothers, Virgil and Hubert Statler, a sister,Irene Phillips; and infant sister, Helen Statler; and two great grandchildren, Taylor and William Stearns.

Funeral services will be held at Hickory UP Church with Rev. Doug Reinard officiating and interment will follow at the Mt. Prospect Cemetery.--Observer-Reporter, July, 2010.
