EMANUEL L. BYERS of Edenville, a teacher in the public schools of St. Thomas township for forty-one years, died of pernicious anemia at 4:30 this morning at the home of his son, Paul R. Byers, North Federal street, this place after an illness of a year and a half duration. He was aged 60 years, seven months and two days and was the son of the late Henry and Sophia Byers. He was a member of the United Brethren Church of Edenville and is survived by his wife and six children, Mrs. H. A. Shaffer, Mrs. L. W. Poole, Mrs. C. W. Diffenderfer and Paul R. Byers, all of Chambersburg, Mrs. D. Roy Coble and Mrs. George J. Duke of North Woodbury, N.J., also one brother George Byers of St. Thomas, and three sisters, Mrs. Rose Beck of Mercersburg, Mrs. Katherine Foreman and Miss Anna Byers of Chambersburg.
The funeral will be held Monday afternoon, leaving the home in Edenville at 1:30, services in the U. B. Church at Edenville, conducted by Rev. R. A. Strasbaugh, interment at Norland cemetery, Chambersburg. Friends and relatives are invited without further notice.
