She was a member of the Morris Hill Baptist Church, Secretary of the Ladies Bible Class, and the daughter of the late King S Shirley and Lillie Carver Shirley. She was a former employee of the Le Tourneau Co. of Toccoa, GA and the Standard Telephone Co., in Cornelia GA.
Survivors include sister, Mrs. Mae Killian, Chattanooga; two aunts, Mrs. Lessie Chastain and Mrs. Frances Dooly, both of Cornelia, GA.
Funeral services were held in the Valley View Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. The body was taken to Church and Son Funeral Home in Clarkesville, GA. Graveside services were at the Ebenezer Cemetery, Hollywood, GA.
