Kenneth was born Reva and Slim Butte areas of South Dakota before moving to Reeder. On October 14, 1944, he married Mabel Graves in Buffalo, SD. They purchased the former First National Bank Building and operated a general store called, "Mabel's Medicine Chest".
He is survived by his wife and daughters, Joan (Joel) Schell, Boulder, CO; Coty Lenerville, Bismarck and Judy (Peter) Krebs, Lemmon, SD, a son Kyoe of Reeder and three grandchildren. Kenneth was killed in Reeder, while investigating a break in at the Farmers Union Store.
