At the age of 15 she, with her parents and family, moved to Fairmont, Missouri where she attended public school. She attended a school taught by Professor Fore, the taught several terms in the rural schools of Clark County.
On February 22, 1899 she was united in marriage with Frederick C. Bowman of Fairmont, MO. Two daughters were born to this union, Mrs. Lola Elliott and Mrs. Glen (Maxine) Woodruff.
She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, brother, an infant brother and sister and a son-in-law. She leaves to mourn her two daughters, two sisters, Mrs. Claudia Goulty and Mrs. Edd Gardner (Edith), and a son-in-law, Glen Woodruff, 3 grandchildren, Mrs. Mary Ann Gillmore Mrs. Nancy Brownlee and Fred Woodruff, 5 great-grandchildren and a number of relatives and friends.
She was a member of the Wyaconda Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and a 50 year member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
Her entire life was spent in Clark County. She was a good wife, a loving mother and sister. Her home was always been open to welcome her relatives and friends.
