Sand Springs, OK.--Lindsey Allene CAMPBELL, age 73, of Sand Springs, died Monday, March 27, 2006, at her home after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 29, 1932 in Searcy County, Arkansas, the daughter of Lindsey Baker and Audrey Trogdon Baker. She graduated from St. Joe High School, St. Joe, Arkansas .

Allene is survived by her husband of over 54 years; two daughters and their husbands; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers-in-laws; brother and wife; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by a brother, Herman Baker.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family and enjoyed any family activity, and really took great pleasure in shopping with her granddaughters. She was an avid reader and an avid collector of pretty floral dishes and other collectibles. She retired from McDonnell Douglas after working for them for approximately 15 years.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2006 in the Mobley-Dodson Chapel with Dr. Jerry Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park in Sand Springs under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service.
