Funeral Services For Orval LaMar To Be Held Today

Orval LaMar, the 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. James S. LaMar died Tuesday evening at the home of his parents, 400 South Ninth Avenue following an illness of 10 days duration.

Death resulted from complications which began in January, 1926, with an infection in the right leg which necessitated the amputation of the limb in March of that year. For a time after that, it appeared he had fully recovered, but in March of this year, trouble returned, resulting finally in the short illness which caused his death.

The youth attended the Phoenix Union High school and was in his sophomore year when he was forced to stop school in January, 1926. He leaves many friends among the high school students.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. LaMar, and three sisters, Ruth LaMar, Mrs. Effie Welsh and Mrs. J. C. Philyaw and four brothers, C. H. LaMar, Ora LaMar, Beryl LaMar and Warren LaMar. The father is a Santa Fe yard foreman in Phoenix. A sister, Miss Ruth LaMar is connected with the Nielsen Radio Supply company.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the A. L. Moore and Sons chapel. Friends may view the remains until the hour of the funeral. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
