"Carrie M. Palmer, 86, of state Route 43, Brimfield, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at Hospice Care Center in Copley. She was born Sept. 23, 1918, in Akron to John and Clara (Bower) Reis. She was realtor for Harris Realty and Katherine Smith Realty, and was an Avon representative. She loved her animals and her children. Survivors include her son, Richard E. (Sherry) Palmer II of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter, Becky Palmer of Brecksville; and four grandchildren, Chelsie, Mike, Bill, and Shelly. She was preceded in death by husband, Richard E. Palmer, in December 2004, and by daughters, Susan Butler in 1982 and Cynthia Ratcliff in 1999. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Cre matory in Kent, with Fr. Robert Hannon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. Memorials may be made to Portage County Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice, 4080 Brimfield Plaza, S.R. 43, Brimfield, Ohio 44240."
