In every relation of life, he gave an example
of the virtues that render the human character
respected and useful.
As a Partner and Parent tender and
affectionate; as a Citizen and Man, active,
public spirited, humane, and benevolent.
In all the duties of his profession prompt
and devoted: for a period of more than thirty
years of extensive practice, distinguished as a
Physician of emminent usefulness and success.
Through years of infirmity and suffering
from the palsying hand of disease, his
patience shone exemplary.
Deeply lamented by his surviving friends;
he has departed to that world, we trust, where
sorrow, pain, and death are known no more.
That life is long; that answers life's great end.
