Carrie Lee King was born October 8, 1928 in Lamar County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Willie King and the late Annie Maude Smith King.

Carrie Lee was a graduate of the Barnesville Industrial High School in Barnesville, GA. At an early age , she accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined the White's Chapel CME Church. She served as a faithful member until her health began to fail. She was a praying woman who truly loved the Lord, and she continuously prayed to Him throughout her illness.

She lead a very simple life. She always knew the importance of providing for her family. For many years she performed domestic services for numerous families throughout the Barnesville-Lamar County area. She was also employed as factory worker with the Montclair Furniture Company for a brief time. Hobbies that she greatly enjoyed included cooking and baking for her family and friends.

On Saturday, November 16, 2013, Carrie Lee departed her earthly life and transitioned into eternal rest. She was preceded in death by siblings to include five brothers, Jim King, Arthur King, Pete King, Moses King, and Henry King: and two sisters, Willie Maude King, and Ollie Mae Battle.

Those who remain to cherish her wonderful memories of Carrie Lee include her three children, Margaret (Marvin) Britt, Patsy K. Mann, and Peter L. (Jeanette) King of Barnesville, GA a brother , Walter L. King of Denver, CO; three grandchildren, Sonya N. Lawrence and Marcus Richardson of Barnesville, GA and Lakeisha Mann of Hampton, GA; one great-grandchild, Miguel Ogletree of Barnesville, GA; eleven nieces, Alfreda Battle, and Phyllis Battle of Barnesville, GA; Susan Sneed of Macon, GA; Annie Smith, Betty (Jimmy) Johnson, Shelia DuBose, Crystal King, Iesha King, Mary King, Christina King, and Jasmine King all of Orlando, FL; five nephews, Terry (Belinda) King of Hinesville, GA; Rickey (Harriett) King of Warner Robins, GA; Lucious King of Columbus, OH, and Andrew King of Orlando, FL/ three devoted friends, Marjorie Richardson, Dorothy Edge, and Ida Reid; and a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends are also surivived.

Funeral Service were held Friday November 22, 2013 12:00 PM
at White's Chapel CME Church the Pastor Randy King, Officiated. Interment in the O'Neal Cemetery.
