Dan was preceded in death by his sister Dee Ann and his mother, Margaret Anderson White.
A lifelong resident of Springfield, Dan was born on August 3, 1943. While growing up and in school he was an Acorn and graduated from Central High School. He later attended the University of Missouri at Rolla and was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. Before completing his studies and being awarded a Bachelor of Science degree at SMSU, Dan honorably served in the USAF and was stationed at Ent AFB in Colorado Springs.
Dan worked in the construction trade for many years before becoming employed at the Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in 1976, later retiring in 1996, following a career as a correctional officer and being recognized many times for outstanding performance.
Dan was a 32 degree Mason, a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine and enjoyed many activities including golf, fishing, car racing and ball games.
Dan loved the Lord and is a member of Asbury UMC, 1500 S. Campbell, Springfield.
Dan was laid to rest with full military honors at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery following the service.
