A lifelong resident of Killeen, she was a former food service worker for the Killeen Independent School District.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church since 1934 and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 490.
Survivors include a son, Lee Garrett Jr. of Copperas Cove; a daughter, Joy R. Evans McCallum of Killeen; a sister, Addie M. Cambell of Killeen; three grandchildren, Douglas and Billy Evans of Clifton, and Jimmy Evans of Sommer-ville; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Ms. Garrett was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Leona Bynum; an infant daughter, Kay Wert; and two sisters, Ruby N. Culp and Margaret Bishop.
