Irvin Paul French

TROY – Irvin Paul French, 83, Troy, died Sunday May 29, 1994, at a hospital in St. Joseph, Mo.

He was born April 24, 1911, in Sparks, the son of Samuel and Estella Wilcox French, and spent his life in Doniphan County. He was graduated from Sparks High School. He was a farmer and stockman many years. He raised purebred Durocs and had received trophies and ribbons at livestock shows.

He was a member of the United Methodist church in Troy and a former member of the Doniphan County Fair Board and Extension Board, Doniphan County Livestock Committee and the Kansas and National Duroc Associations.

He was married to Ethel Billups on July 19, 1943, in Arrington. She survives.

A brother, William H. French, Highland, also survives.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Troy. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Troy. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church in Troy, 66087.
