He also appeared in Gone With The Wind as Phil Meade. In the 1950's he became a screen writer for B movies. Living in Greenfield, Massachusetts, Jack Moran died of lung cancer. As requested in his will, Jack Moran's ashes were scattered on the backstretch of the horse racing track in Del Mar, California.
