Family Gathering
On Thursday last the home of Charles H Gidley was the scene of a pleasant family gathering, in which three brothers and two sisters were the prominent persons - Charles H Gidley of this city, Seth Sherman Gidley of Los Angeles, California, Andrew M Gidley of McClure, Mrs [Lucina L] Quaintance of Bucyrus and Mrs [Susannah H] Pittman of Hamler. Among the balance of those present from abroad were Mrs Sherer of Toledo, a daughter of Mrs Quaintance, and Mrs Willard of Hamler, a daughter of Mrs Pittman. The wives of the three brothers were also present. It was a happy event and no doubt will be long remembered by all those who participated. May these brothers and sisters again meet under one roof, but the chances are they never will, in this life at least, for the ravages of time are telling upon them, and some live in a remote part of the country, which fact precludes the pleasure of each others society often.
