Andrew J. Martinis, MD passed away peacefully on October 24, 2014, surrounded by his family.

Born November 4, 1925, in Everett, Washington to Paul Andrew Martinis and Pearl Cecelia Marincovich Martinis. Predeceased by his parents and his five siblings. Survived by his wife Magna Mjones, children Dale and Berrie (Cliff), and grandchildren Della, Dillon and Daniel.

Served in the South Pacific on the destroyer USS Laffey during World War II.

Practiced as a vascular surgeon at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Edmonds Food Bank, 425-778-5833.

Funeral service Tuesday, November 4th at 11:00a.m. at Beck's Funeral Home in Downtown Edmonds.

Gravesite Details

Martinis served aboard the USS Laffey at the Battle of Okinawa in 1945. He was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism.
