Richard William Watson, 94, Muncie, passed away Wednesday morning, June 30, 2021, at The Woodlands.
He was born Sunday, July 18, 1926, in Muncie, the son of John Emery and Lois Elizabeth (Sweany) Watson. Richard graduated from Muncie Central High School. He worked at Borg Warner for forty-three years and retired as a Tool Engineer in 1989. He was a member of The Garden at Gethsemane Methodist Church for over sixty-one years where he was active in the Methodist Men's group. Richard was a 32nd Degree Mason, an advisor for the Boy Scout Troop #21, a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion. Mr. Watson honorably served his country in the United States Navy.

Survivors include his son, John (wife, Mary Beth) Watson; daughter, Janet (husband Randall) McKee; three grandchildren, Sarah Fruth, Daniel (wife, Erin) Watson, and Alicia Watson; seven great-grandchildren, Xavier, Landen, Gage, Lyla, Mia, Charli, and Cara; sister-in-law, Margaret Watson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Emery and Lois Elizabeth Watson; his wife, Patricia (Rampy) Watson; and his brother, Charles Watson.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Elm Ridge Memorial Park with Pastor Tony Collins officiating.

Elm Ridge Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements.
