Bessie Mae Thacker Bullock was the daughter of James Herbert and Laura Ann (Horn) Thacker. She was preceded in death by her brother Roy Thacker, and sisters Cora Belle Thacker McFadden Burriss and Ruby Lee Thacker Montgomery Hunt. Bessie attended Edgerton School. She married Roy (Jack)Bullock on May 10,1922.He preceded her in death in 1973. They had one daughter Betty Jane.She passed away in 1996. Bessie and Jack later raised their grandsons Shelby and Donald Wickam. She also took a very big role in raising her Great-Granddaughters Lisa and Angela Wickam.She lived in Edgerton for many years then moved to Smithville. Bessie also worked at the Hospital in Smithville for several years. Her biggest joy was her grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
