CAPTAIN - US ARMY

TITUSVILLE, Florida — Charles Holroyd "Chuck" Jarrell, age 50, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at Titusville, Florida.

He was a former resident of Beckley, WV, and a 1977 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. He also graduated from West Virginia University and was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. After college Chuck joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Texas and Germany during his career. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain. Later on, Chuck went back to college to earn a second degree from Concord University.

Chuck was the owner and operator of the 'Comic Castle' comic book store in Beckley, West Virginia, for 13 years. After selling his store, he relocated to Florida with his daughter, Jenny, where he was the manager of Ocean Landings Resort in Cocoa Beach, Florida, until his sudden death.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Thomas "Foot" Jarrell.

Chuck is survived by his daughter, Jenny Jarrell, and his mother, Mary Lou McGinnis Jarrell, both of Titusville, and his sister, Wendy Jarrell Kline and her husband, John, of Matlacha, Florida.

Memorial services were held in Titusville, Florida.
