Carol L. Cruz, 59, of Bloomington, passed away at 11:57 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 4, 2014) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
Carol was born on Oct. 6, 1955 in Lincoln, a daughter of Gerald and Roseann Arthur Sympson. She married Bernabe Cruz on July 27, 1979 in Missouri. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, James A. Stuckey, Ricardo R. Cruz and John D. (Jennifer) Cruz; two daughters, Anna C. (Austin) McDannald and Jessica M. Cruz and a brother, Charles (Lisa) Sympson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Beth Stuckey; three brothers, Terry Sympson, Gerald Sympson and Kenneth Sympson; and a grandson, Joseph Stuckey.
Carol was employed at McLean County Jail working in corrections.
